1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Hadith Node, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

2. What You Can Do

We grant you a personal, non-commercial license to:

• Download and install the app on your own iOS devices
• Use it for personal learning and study
• Read hadith and access content based on your subscription tier
• Create bookmarks, highlights, and study notes within your tier limits

3. What You Cannot Do

You agree NOT to:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works from the app
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the app
• Use bots or automated tools to scrape content
• Distribute, rent, or lend the app to others
• Remove or alter copyright notices
• Compete with our business using the app
• Use the app for illegal activities
• Share your subscription with others

4. About the Hadith Content

Content Accuracy

We compile the hadith carefully, but:

• We don't guarantee 100% accuracy
• Scholar gradings reflect scholarly consensus but may differ

5. Subscriptions

Free Tier

• Read hadiths - unlimited
• Search - unlimited
• Themes & fonts - unlimited customization
• Bookmarks - up to 50
• Highlights - unlimited
• Study notes - up to 30 (hadith notes + highlight comments combined)

Paid Tier (Premium)

• Everything in free tier
• Bookmarks - unlimited
• Study notes - unlimited (hadith notes + highlight comments combined)
• Cloud sync across your devices via iCloud

How Payments Work

• Subscriptions managed by Apple App Store
• Your Apple ID handles billing
• Auto-renews unless you cancel
• Cancel anytime in App Store settings
• Refunds follow App Store policies

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change pricing anytime. New pricing takes effect for new subscriptions and at renewal for existing subscribers.

6. Cloud Sync (Paid Users Only)

Cloud sync via iCloud is a premium feature that allows you to sync your bookmarks, notes, and highlights across your devices.

iCloud Integration:

• Your bookmarks, notes, highlights sync to your iCloud account
• Apple's CloudKit handles storage and encryption
• We can't access or decrypt your synced data
• Apple's responsible for backup and security

Your Responsibility:

• Keep your Apple ID secure
• Use a strong password and 2FA
• We're not responsible for iCloud outages or Apple service interruptions

7. What We're NOT Responsible For

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS-IS." We don't guarantee:

• The app will always be available or error-free
• Hadith texts are 100% accurate (they're compiled carefully, but errors happen)
• The app is suitable for all purposes
• iCloud sync will always work (Apple's responsibility)
• Uninterrupted internet or cloud service

No Liability:

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we're not liable for:

• Data loss or sync failures
• Decisions you make based on the app's content
• Any indirect or consequential damages
• Maximum liability = what you paid for the subscription in the past 12 months

8. User Conduct

You agree to use the app responsibly:

• Don't harass, threaten, or abuse others
• Don't spread misinformation or violence
• Respect the sacred nature of hadith
• Don't attempt to hack or attack the app
• Don't violate any local laws

Violations may result in service discontinuation, feature restrictions, or removal from the App Store without refund.

9. Cancellation and Termination

You Can Stop Anytime

• Cancel your subscription through App Store settings
• Uninstall the app
• Your data remains in your iCloud account

We May Discontinue Service If

We reserve the right to discontinue or modify the app if:

• You violate these terms
• You engage in illegal activity
• You attempt to harm, hack, or attack the app
• You breach payment obligations to Apple

We may remove the app from the App Store, disable certain features, or restrict access to services. Since the app is distributed through the App Store, you retain the ability to use any previously downloaded version unless we implement server-side restrictions.

10. Our Rights

• App design, code, and features are our property
• Hadith texts are historical Islamic sources (public domain)
• We may update or discontinue the app anytime without notice

11. Third-Party Services

The app uses Apple's services:

• App Store - Download and subscriptions
• CloudKit - Cloud sync
• StoreKit - Payment processing
• Push Notifications - Daily hadith alerts

Apple's terms of service apply to their services.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to change these terms anytime without notice. Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
